Review of Saw VI (2009) by Ozzdeath S — 06 Oct 2014
31 of 31 #7 "SAW 6 Unrated " released in 2009 - Ding Dong Agent Strahm is dead.....now what ?....enter Agent Erickson and Hoffman framing Agent Strahm.
So before this movie becomes another cat and mouse story, there is a primary story revolving a guy named William and his health insurance company.
I am not going to lie, I love this premise, as a person who had shitty insurance for as long as I can remember this felt pretty good to see the ideals behind what qualifies a person for coverage and all the red tape that insurance companies throw at you being twisted into Jigsaw games....I honestly felt every single bad thing that happened to William was well deserved and I wanted to see him succeed on each trap just to see his torment magnified on the next trap.
Jigsaw has a little less screen time on this one but it is critical information for the character as he now see his final wish being carried. Jigsaw its simply the best part of each saw movie.
Agent Erickson is just the the obligatory wrap up victim for Detective Hoffman and its truly the least interesting part of the movie, it just feels like saw 5 took care of this agent chasing detective plot, once the big reveal happens its like - ok - lets get back to the insurance guy and the awesome traps.
And as Jigsaw's final wish is executed you have to wonder why do people who follow his wishes have to have the evil face as they are natural born serial killers....it just looks funny to me, but the reverse bear trap makes a triumphant return in probably the best digital effect in the entire series.
FINAL WORDS FOR SAW 6.
Best Trap: Too many to mention, I did love the shotgun roulette a lot.
Best Death: William...I mean....disintegrated insides by acid....that's poetry.
Moment that made me go WTF ??? Probably the fact that one victim was not re-habilitated at all, and made me wonder if the trap was a jigsaw trap or a Hoffman trap.
