Review of Saw VI (2009) by Marcus X — 03 Sep 2010
Another superb installment from start to finish. One of the most gruesome introductions to a film that you'll ever see, rounded off with one of the most gruesome endings. It once again focuses on introducing new traps, which terrorise people in yet more horrific ways, whilst building in a storyline that continues to interlink all the previous Saw movies.
This chapter compares most similarly to number 3, whereby it takes a central character, and submits him to a number of 'tests' where he must try and save others (and himself). You do wonder what happened to the individuals he managed to save, but you just know with the Saw series, that all loose ends tend to be tied up, whether it be in the same film, or an installment later down the line.
Definitely a recommendable film, and one to test the stomach's steel.
