Review of Saw V (2008) by Jana B — 05 Apr 2010
Saw V, the let down of the series to be honest. each of the others all had something about them that made them fit into the series nicely but this, lets just say it can be missed as only a few components are bought into saw VI.
The movies acting is not bad, for a horror movie, but there are some moments where you don't believe the actors.
The plot itself is the weakest of the series and overall entertainment picks a pace and sticks with it, unfortunately it is a slow pace.
A more "detective" style movie then the other relying more on Strahm's investigation of jigsaw rather then the traps and the overall scheme.
Even the Saw endings which I look forward to was weak, it was not bad but coming off previous installments it is the weakest so far.
This movie did put me off Saw VI, but thankfully I went to see it still.
Overall the low point of the series, but when compared to other horror series it is definitely not a low point for the genre.
