Review of Saw V (2008) by Colin H — 01 Nov 2010
It seems now, Saw is on its merry way.
Since Saw IV had our villain (or is that anti-hero now?) Jigsaw's motivations revealed, this movie shows the passing of the torch to a new killer.
While I'm sure Jigsaw himself will forever be present in each film (with increasing absurdity) this new character supposedly replacing him, is unconvincing.
For the movie itself, it is the same Saw affair, and except for a grisly start, the gore is visibly lacking compared to previous installments.
Comparative only with its predecessors, Saw V is one of the weaker ones.
