After Darren Lynn Bousman didn't direct Saw 5 after making Saw 2, 3, and 4, production designer David Hackl is his turn to direct it. With him being the production designer, he would've learn what was missing from Saw 4 and put the good stuff from Saw 2 and a bit of 3 into this, but it turn out to be not that good of a film.

The plot gets less and less interesting, the acting is kind of bad, down right laughable at times, and it felt like they put more effort into the traps then with anything. However like the others so far, there are some entertaining parts in it.

The conversation between Jigsaw and Hoffman were really good and you want to know what's going to happen even though it's obvious. The flashbacks, for the most part, are really unnecessary and we could've figure that out by just knowing how it happen.

Tobin Bell is always great in this, and really tries to make this a good film, but just wasn't enough. The character subjects, are really forgettable in this even though it's nice to see Meagan Good in this.

It is impressive that it took 4 films that are good until this. Lets hope to see if the editor of all the Saw films can make a good film for Saw 6.
