Review of Saw IV (2007) by Potatoes351 — 30 Oct 2012
Saw IV...in other words the one that didn't need to be made. Saw III pretty much cleared up everything but now they have dug themselves a bigger hole by making the first of another set of films. This finishes the story arc of Detective Matthews first seen in Saw II and continues on its crime drama approach to storytelling rather than the edge of your seat thriller that I and III had.
Good cinematography is perhaps the only saving grace but Saw IV is for fans who are just too clingy for their once beloved series to end.
