Review of Saw IV (2007) by Calan P — 27 Dec 2012
Saw IV was a weak film, and not needed. Jigsaw died in the third film, so why is this film needed? Apparently to tell an unrealistic side story.
Even if the traps were horrifying and gruesome in the first three films, that's what Saw focuses on. The traps in this film are not elaborate and are just unimaginative.
The first five minutes of Saw IV is just gross and I guess is shown just so that the film can have more blood. If you watch this movie, don't pay attention at the start. You won't miss anything.
The characters in this film are also not very interesting. None of the characters in the so called "game" have any cool aspects about them. Also, the end of the movies are normally mind blowing. In this film, I was just noting how many flaws were in the ending.
The only thing that I can say that I enjoy about this movie is the moral aspect. It makes sense at the end a little bit, and I was sort of impressed. Other than that though, this film is very forgettable.
