Saw II is a welcome improvement to its predecessor, and would perhaps be the only recommendable film in the series if the first weren't needed to watch for story purposes. With much less absurd dialogue, better leading roles, and a sufficiently creepy atmosphere, it sculpts the horror flick the original could have been.
