Review of Saw II (2005) by Dan C — 16 Sep 2013

There's a nugget of an interesting premise buried in here but the movie as a whole is such a steaming deuce. Once again, I liked the twist, and there is certainly some gnarly gore on display. But with the obnoxious and/or wooden characters, half-baked philosophizing, and, worst of all, the aneurysm-inducing editing, the gore and the elusive good ideas go straight to waste.

A very disappointing sequel, not that the first Saw was a masterpiece. Frankly, it was retarded. I'm only watching III because I heard it was a complete gorefest.
