Upon a re-watch, I'm forced to dial down my appreciation of these films a great deal, as they just haven't held up very well over the years. This is especially in the light of all the various sequels that have been shoe-horned into supposedly taking place at the same time as the original film, cheapening its effect a great deal for me.
Well worth a watch, but not as mind-blowing as it was the first time around, unfortunately.
