Review of Saw (2004) by Mohammad A — 23 May 2016
My favourite film and a great horror that has fantastic acting from the cast. Brilliant storyline, great editing and camera work. It was a great twist at the end that most films hardly pull off. Brilliant film.
The film pulls off a beautiful grittiness with some great quick-fire scenes and sometimes pulls of the odd shock. The music is superb and pulls off what most horror films can't do and that's keep you on the edge of your seat.
One of the best horrors around. Way better than a "Stalker killing bimbo teenagers" plot. Fantastically written and Directed by James Wan (Now master of old fashion horror stories). Cary Elwes will never be in a better film and shockingly great performance from him.
James Wan's sadistic, Halloween-ready gore fest suggests a reality television competition like Fear Factor, carried to the nth degree of cruelty. Inventive and diverting entertainment for fans of moody horror mysteries.
And the end is cool. Say no more. Though this is about to start another six films, this is still one of the best psychological films ever made to date and never will beat it's originality. Amazing, brilliant film with one of the greatest twists in horror.
