Review of Saw (2003) by Spencer S — 08 Nov 2013

While a majority of the "Saw" movies are dumb yet entertaining, the original "Saw" actually shapes up to be a very effective horror movie with twists and turns at every corner. The storyline is smartly crafted, and the shock factors shown throughout the movie are truly jaw-dropping.

James Wan did a phenomenal job as director for this movie, and it goes to show, as later entries in the "Saw" franchise dropped significantly in quality.
