Review of Saw (2003) by James G — 30 Oct 2014
Meh. I don't see why this is a cult classic. There is too much plot armor (like how can a living body be on the floor the entire and everyone thinks he's dead?) The situation is interesting for the first 15 minutes, and then it starts to run thin fast.
It's still better than Paranormal Activity, but over all, meh. And the gore fest of the other Saw films is just gratuitous and takes this from being what could have been a great psychological thriller series into gratuitous gore and over the top ridiculous situations.
