Review of Savior (1998) by Vincent G — 26 Jun 2007
A powerful drama of man's inhumanity to man, juxtaposed with the redemptive power of hope. Despite this, "Savior" does not descend into mawkish sentimentality, thanks to committed performances (perhaps a career best from Dennis Quaid), and director Predrag Antonijevic's refusal to steer away from the stark brutalities of war.
Distressing but demanding viewing.
