Not a great movie by any means, but it certainly has its funny moments - not least the supporting role played by R. Lee Ermey as the friends former school football coach. The Neil Diamond cameo seems tacked-on, especially the tired gags- but I must say Detmer makes for a more appealing love interest than Peet.
