I wasn't expecting much at all when I started watching Saving Silverman. The only thing that attracted me to it was three members of the cast: Jack Black, Steve Zahn and Amanda Peet. It turned put to be a mindless movie that was good fun.

Saving Silverman is about two friends (Jack Black and Steve Zahn) trying to save Jason Biggs from his fiance (Amanda Peet) whom they don't like. So they decide to kidnap her, and fake her death. A little crazy, but good fun.

While Jack Black and Steve Zahn are holding Amanda Peet in a basement, the 'plot' happens. Amanda Peet helps Jack Black discover he's gay, then escapes. Then, they run after her and catch her. This time, Steve Zahn takes charge and takes extra precautions. Amanda Peet seduces him and she escapes again. This time though, they don't catch her and she goes to her fiance.

Before Peet escapes the second time, Biggs tries to forget about her and falls in love with a nun. And in this movie, nuns work out and its okay for them to undress in public. Anyway, the nun too falls in love with Biggs and decides not to be a nun.

I'm not going to tell you what finally happened except that there is Neil Diamond towards the end, which is pretty cool.

While the plot was not good and direction was nothing special, the standouts were the three actors that made me watch the movie, especially Steve Zahn. And That is why this movie was just good fun and I recommend it for anyone who wants a good laugh.
