Spielberg's epic "Saving Private Ryan" is absolutely one of the most beautiful works in war genre of cinema. Almost every minute is great to watch but shooting scenes can take the interest out of the movie because they can be long and sometimes even boring.
But the story is unforgettable. It also gives a very rude image of war and that's one thing how you can spot a good war movie. There are no scenes that are too heroic or patriotic what is an other big bonus, of course.
