Fantastic movie. If you ever get the chance to see this on the big screen, you should take it. Some of the most intense war footage of all time. In one of the most unbelievably bad decisions ever, this movie did not win Best Picture.
That honor went to a fun, light movie that will be forgotten in another 10-15 years (Shakespeare in Love). This is one of my all time favorite movies.
