Filled with exceptional war sequences and a fantastic story Saving Private Ryan is a must watch for film fans. As impressive as the fight scenes are, and they are impressive, it's the tone, of both the script and direction that make this a must watch.
Some characters don't have much time on screen, yet we get to know them, and their loss is felt, and just as importantly we must like Private Ryan, and they make him someone who get's our sympathy and is someone worth saving.
The actors in this movie all shine, there are zero bad performances.
