Few movies change your life. I saw this movie as a teenager who still thought of war as adventurous and glorious. By the end of the movie I grew to realize that war is made up of regular men, dying on the battlefield, crying for their mothers.
I no longer glorified war after seeing Saving Private Ryan, and that was no small change.
