Review of Saving Private Ryan (1998) by Grant H — 16 Jul 2015

Fantastic movie. In addition to being incredibly filmed and having stunning action, visual effects, and realistic war scenes, the film's storyline is also excellent. It offers up a lot of great ideas, takes them in the right direction, knows how to draw the audiences in and make them care for the characters, and the performances in the film also help this, especially Hanks, Burns, and Damon (who's role is significantly smaller than it seemed).
