"Saving Private Ryan" is an incredibly strong, resonating movie that serves to be one of the best war films ever made thanks to sharp and revolutionary directing by Steven Spielberg and all great performances led by Tom Hanks.
This is the definition of an epic war film with enormous set pieces and recreations of WWII battles that hits every emotion possible through its near three hour running time. The terror conveyed through the characters in this film is unreal as it shows the downright gruesome parts of war, as well as the very touching human side of its characters.
