Saving Private Ryan is a WWII film that not only has excellent performances from the cast (especially from Tom Hanks), but also boasts an incredible story with phenomenal directing from Spielberg, commendable cinematography, and an inspirational score from John Williams.
Probably the best WWII film out there.
