Review of Saving Mr. Banks (2013) by John W — 25 Jul 2014
This film is superlative on many levels Aside from the mandatory perfectly costumed and embellished time correct settings (1906 and 1962), this is a film that surprises you with its depth and its humanity.
You a taken a journey into the inner life of PL Travers and the persistence of Walt Disney to create what is one of the most perfect cinematic experiences of the last 50 years. it is a story of the impact that childhood can have on our destiny and it is surprisingly moving and the the actors are really superb in the roles.
The story is just too bizarre not to be true and it so wonderfully made and there are moving moments all through the film. Highly recommended.
