Very poignant film about the struggle to adapt Mary Poppins to film. Great performances by Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, Colin Farrell, and the indefatigable Paul Giamatti. This is much more than a biopic or your standard Disney fairytale, this film has, as Travers had put it, "Gravitas.
" Past and present scenes melded seamlessly. If you haven't watch it, watch it today! I don't give four stars at the drop of a hat!
