Review of Saving Grace (2000) by Jim S — 12 Jun 2007
A provocative comedy penned by Craig Ferguson and Mark Crowdy, the story sets place in a ficticious town located near Cornwall, England. The entire plotline warmed my heart, the camera shots were wonderful, and there was more than one scene that highlighted splendid comic timing.
Martin Clunes did an exceptional job as Dr. Bamford, and Brenda Blethyn warmed the hearts as middle-aged Grace, the woman who suffered immense debt as a result of her husband's death. Highlighted scenes that are a must-see: the gossipy tea ladies getting stoned, "the house lighting up like a spaceship," and when Grace endeavors to sell the drugs in London.
Grade: 95/100 (A).
