Review of Saving Face (2004) by Sofia B — 14 Jul 2010
Chinese-American surgeon Wilhelmina is just as shocked as anyone to find out that her single mother is pregnant and in order to help her mother "save face" and avoid exclusion from the Chinese community Wil helps her mother in the search of Mr. Right meanwhile in secrecy trying to establish some sort of relationship with her boss' daughter Vivian.
Interesting milestone in the history of queer cinema as it is the first film trying to portrait the clash between Chinese-American culture and homosexuality.
