Review of Saving Face (2004) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012
A romantic comedy well outside the square, yet still perfectly innoccent. Saving face shows that between any race, setting or sexual preference, the expectations of relationships between people and family are exactly the same.
I loved this film also for destroying the idea of black and white thinking, concepts and ideals. Well done Alice Wu for taking that leap and making a film that almost anyone could admire, and also for bringing together 3 of the most exquisite and stylish asian women I've ever seen.
