Review of Saved (2009) by George K — 30 Jun 2010
This movie from 2003 was a pleasant surprise for me. Good performances from Jena Malone, Mandy Moore, Macaulay Culkin, and Patrick Fugit made this very enjoyable to watch. Yup, it centers around a Christian high school, but that doesn't mean every one is moral, ethical, and good. Christian teens are like non-Christian teens. They make mistakes. Watch as Jena Malone's character Mary becomes pregnant and how she handles the ostracism from her peers who are anything but angels.
Popcorn bag award goes to Jena Malone. She made Mary believable and one you just had to cheer on.
