Review of Saved (2009) by Brad S — 05 Nov 2011
A witty satire about the life of Christian teenagers in an American Christian high school. Mary tries to save her boyfriend from being gay by having sex with him. This of course doesn't work well and she ends up pregnant which leads to being ostracized by her peers.
There are funny moments - especially if you have a first hand understanding of the evangelical Christian subculture. As a Christian the movie is kind of sad because it is a reflection of how people view Chirstians.
Although I want to dislike the film for being shallow and untrue I must admit it is a little to real.
