Review of Saved! (2004) by Jenna M — 14 Dec 2008
It's good at pointing out some absurd aspects of Christian culture, and it does so in a humorous manner, but the final act is a major cop out. Rather than offer some critical perspective on the place of religion in modern society, it dishes out the cliched relative secular mantra of, "It doesn't matter what you believe as long as you believe something," a point of view that should be deconstructed in the same manner that this film deconstructed Christian belief in a sequel.
