Review of Savages (2012) by Juanka P — 23 Jun 2013
Two Laguna Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Aaron Johnson), a peaceful and charitable Buddhist, and his closest friend Chon ( Taylor Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary, run a lucrative and homegrown industry based on producing the best possible marihuana.
This brings the attention of the Mexican cartels. They will try to foce Ben and Chon to make business with them. As they refuse the partnership, they decided to kidnap Ophelia ( Blake Lively), who is Chon's and Ben's lover.
The Cartel, headed by Elena (Salma Hayek), and his brutal right hand, Lado ( Benicio Del Toro) will undestimate the capabilities of Ben and Chon, who will go to war against the Cartel, trying to rescue Ophelia.
