Review of Savages (2012) by Hyderali S — 07 Aug 2013
I don't think savages is a bad film, it just isn't that good, some of the scenes are pretty convincing, its something that's expected in the cartel, torture, crime and drugs. The 3 main leads doesn't impress me at all, the love triangle is difficult to relate because it isn't a triangle.
It's a three way love.... unimpressive, Oliver Stone shouldn't have included that, pointless. However despite difficulties in the main lead, impressive performances are generated in Benicio Del Toro and John Travolta, they add dimension and ensemble to deliver a great imput and attempt to make Savages is a decent crime thriller, some scenes are correctly acted well, but it should of been much more better, If leads were cast better.
Oliver Stone could have made it better. It wasn't impressive from his standard.
