Review of Savages (2006) by Courtney N — 05 Jan 2009

A very interesting story, in a perfect way. Although, I was a bit thrown off by how the previews were given to the audience. To me, they tried to portray this as a darker comedy which I think was wrong.

Yes, I found myself laughing out loud a few times but it was also terribly sad. I was very impressed with the casting. I felt the story was really great but it seemed a little incomplete and something else could have been going on.

Linney & Hoffman had absolutely perfect chemistry and really made you interested in who they were deeper than they film would allow. Everyone should definitely see this movie at some point. It was the perfect movies for a cold Sunday afternoon!
