Review of Savages (2006) by Sarah C — 26 Oct 2009

Overall I enjoyed this film. It was well acted, particularly by Laura Linney and her Oscar nomination was well deserved. Although, like In Bruges, it certainly wasn't a full out comedy like the trailer would have you believe. It had some ha ha moments, but overall was very dramatic. I mean when you're dealing with a story about siblings having to deal with their father's slip into dementia, there's not a whole lot of laughs to be had. Still a very good film.

I can't help but wonder though, is that going to be myself and my brother in fifteen years?
