Julianne Moore channels Joan Crawford as Mommie Dearest gone incest. Tom Kalin's tabloid melodrama about these aristocratic monsters is shocking in many ways, but ends up stiff, cold, and unrealistic.
It has a similar effect of reading a fabricated US Weekly headline but without the guilty pleasure.
