All is not well with the Baekeland's. An inherited fortune, but no love lost. The husband; Brook, deserts Barbara (Julianne Moore) and she forms an unhealthy relationship with her already unsettled gay son; Tony .
.. and they try and maintain their nomadic lifestyle moving around Europe trying to settle and find happiness and acceptance. Needless to say, as it is a family murder case, it doesn't end on a happy note, and there are some uncomfortable scenes near the end .
.. all done in the best possible taste. It's different! ... and Moore plays her role perfectly.
