To say this is one of the most depressing films I've ver seen is no small thing. The performances are dine with Moore in particular shining but the story is so dark and the characters so unsympathetic that you end up wanting to do what Moore does halfway through through the film and slit your wrists! And as for that Mother/Son scene at the end.
..!!!
