Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Moviemitch96 — 22 Aug 2016
Kudos to Seth Rogen and company for actually going through with it: Making an R-rated animated film, which is quite a rarity nowadays considering the risks behind it with not being able to take little ones to see it (which you absolutely should not parents! Keep your kids FAR away from this one!) But anyway this was undeniably a very funny film, maybe not quite as funny as I was hoping for admittedly and Rogen's style of humor feels all too present throughout most the film so it can't help but feel a little too familiar and not quite as fresh.
Nonetheless, his humor is unique and and it's what's made him so funny in the first place, so I can't really deny or turn away from it either. Overall, die-hard Rogen fans will probably eat this right up (pun intended) while even casual comedy-goers will likely get a good kick out of it in many spots as well.
