Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Soybeanarson — 13 Aug 2016

This movie has a strange but interesting commentary on religion near the end and a truly unexpected ending. Too bad the journey to get there is gruesome, racist, uncomfortably loose with consent, and humorless.

That last one is the key, because much of the rest could be partially forgiven if it made me laugh. But it didn't. It was awful. its discomfort for discomfort's sake. If it has point, crudeness is not inherently wrong, but it its pointless, its pointless.

I wish I could un-see this movie. But I cant.
