Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Maksim B — 11 Mar 2017
While I felt that some actors didn't get as much screen time as they should've, I still enjoyed Sausage Party as a comedic farce. The film is gleefully profane managing to take advantage of its R rating, it's funny especially when the main villain, an actual Douche says something and a grocery store item just appears and he shows that that's not what he meant.
Gets a chuckle out of me every time. It offers a fresh change of pace following the absence of mainstream R-rated cartoons for years. In 2015, we had Anomalisa and Hell & Back but the former was only given a limited release and the latter wasn't exactly a theatrical release.
..sort of. I saw it as a great film that, while offensive, succeeds at wiping its ass on Pixar the same way Shrek did so with Disney.
