Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Late R — 09 Sep 2017
Considering a premise that sounds like it must have been dreamed up by Rogan when he was on a one helluva trip, it's actually surprisingly well written with a story that has more depth than you'd ever expect.
The humour is crude and heavy-handed with a few moments that some may find distasteful - it certainly isn't going to be for everyone and it is definitely not a film for those who are easily offended (that should not come as much of a surprise considering who's involved).
At the end of the day, it's a lot of fun to see the boundaries being pushed this far and even if the comedy part isn't quite your thing, as a whole, it is undeniably more entertaining and enjoyable than it has any right to be.
