Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Peyton M — 07 Aug 2017
Hilarious comedy and a cleverly written script are what make Sausage Party a great film. I do have to deduct points for the mediocre animation, and I do get how this movie might not suit some peoples taste (no pun intended) since there are some very nasty scenes in this film, but that's one of the few problems I have with this film.
Also, I like how the movie touches upon the subject matter of how there are issues that come with religion, and how they can have a negative effect on others. Overall, I find this to be a great movie, but it's not something that I would show to a little kid or anybody under the age of 17 for that matter considering the topics it discusses as well as having scenes where it can get a little too carried away with its own raunchiness.
If you're a parent, don't let your children watch this. I know that's obvious to some people since this is rated R, but trust me, there are dumb parents out there who will let their little kids watch ANYTHING animated because they think it's appropriate for their age group when that is obviously not the case with something like this, so I just wanted to make that clear for those kinds of people.
If you expose your kids to this, then that's on you. Don't see this if you're under the age of 17. Other than that, though, I strongly recommend this for people who love animated adult comedies and who are Seth Rogen fans.
