Visually and artistically beautiful, Sauna fails to satisfy. Even a metaphysical, medieval horror story should have some kind closure. Now we are left with only hints of "what could this all mean".
Sometimes ambiguity works, not in Sauna I'm afraid. Good cast, good production, good music, atmospehere etc but the story/screenplay ultimately fails.
