Review of Satyricon (1969) by Dustin P — 26 Jul 2007
The first time I watched this it was in the common room of a university residence. 20 mins into it, some guy I didn't know said "those people are sick" and walked out of the room. I remember thinking "This is awesome!".
It's my third favorite Fellini movie (Under 81/2 and La Dolce Vita)and in my opinion his most ambitious film. The art direction is superb and though the story line is a bit unfocused, some moments are pure gold.
Decadent gold.
