The music is the only redeeming part of this otherwise boring sorry of a nobody who becomes king of his local disco. A series of tragedies jar him into growing up by becoming friends with *gasp* a girl.
I think this movie tries to be the West Side Story of disco but comes across more like a polyester clad Gigli.
