A pretty much perfectly pitched drama that realistically depicts a period of time that is often made the butt of jokes. You can see parallels, though, between the modern club scene and the over the top discoteques.

The drugs, the alcohol, the sexual aggression, it's all very familiar and takes an incredibly dark turn at the end that really is in following with how shitty the characters have been throughout. A classic.
