Review of Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960) by Lady D — 08 Oct 2010
This down to Earth Northern England story sees a very young Albert Finney showing off young talent in a fairly controversial situation for it's time, with reminders of Alfie (which was a later film), the situation makes for an interesting story and is as gritty as films of that age allow to be.
