Review of Sarah's Key (2010) by Caro D — 01 Nov 2011
The stories of the two women separated by almost 60 years are intertwined. Clearly the story of Sarah, just a child when her family is brutally forced out of their home and separated is the more compelling.
Julia's story provides a respite from the unremitting horror of Sarah's story. The child actress is brilliant. It reminds one of all the stories of all the horrified and brutalized children that have not yet been told and all the stories that are happening right now while we sit at the movies and consider the dramatic merits of a story line.
It is truly horrifying. We must do more to prevent this from happening NOW.
