Review of Sarah's Key (2010) by Paul K — 17 Dec 2013
Somewhat akin to Memoirs of a Geisha, this film starts with a reliance on a young girl to help carry the meat of the story. While the bulk of the background narrative is provided by the present day investigation of Jarmond (Scott Thomas) we are thrown immediently into the world surrounding Sarah (Mayance).
I think both sides of the movie played well, and fortunately for us all, Mayance is more than up to the task as the young Sarah. This movie will be with you long after you leave the theater.
